The host of the meeting, which is often the school or education setting, requests information from people who work with the child or young person. They will ask for an update on progress towards outcomes in the education, health and care plan (EHCP) and help setting the new targets for the coming year.
The school may also invite other people involved in supporting your child, for example a teaching assistant, a speech and language therapist, or a specialist advisory teacher. In practice, who attends will depend on your child’s needs and circumstances.
