Help with long term support

It can help to bring together the support your child receives into a long-term plan. This can help your child make progress.

Plans should always include regular reviews, which are opportunities to change the support your child has.

One Plans

In Essex we use something called a One Plan. This can help identify:

  • who is going to do what
  • when and how often they will do it
  • for how long

It includes reviewing the child or young person's progress based on their own goals.

You make them by working with their teachers, and anyone else who works with your child. You can make a One Plan without doing an assessment.
