Alphabake Cookery

Runs workshops to help children and young people with learning disabilities to experience and enjoy cooking

How it can help

Cooking can be used as a sensory experience. It can also be used to help improve motor skills and coordination. The experienced tutors are understanding and supportive. The workshops are relaxed and offered in a supervised and safe environment.

By preparing simple, healthy recipes every student gets to experience a range of different tastes and learn important kitchen skills. For people who find it difficult working in a group environment, private sessions are also available.
