The Child and Young People’s Support (CAYPS) Service helps young people address difficulties they may encounter as a result of their SEND.

How it can help

CAYPS workers work with children, young people and their families when they are having challenges as a result of their SEND. The support they offer varies depending on what is important to the child, young person or family. Support could focus on topics such as:

  • routine and boundaries
  • managing emotions and feelings
  • accessing the community
  • social skills
  • independence and life skills

Age

0 to 25

Eligibility

Children and young people aged 0 to 25 years who have a social worker.

How to access

A social worker referral.
