Essex Music Service

Provides a wide range of music education opportunities across schools and communities within Essex, supporting young people to enjoy and progress on an instrument, make music within a group or vocally.

How it can help

Essex Music Service has trained specialist music tutors who:

  • provide specialist 1-1 sessions
  • will work on adapted instruments to provide access to all
  • can adapt learning for all levels of needs within individual and group settings
  • run specialist provision during the school holidays for families and young people to participate together 
  • run nurture group sessions to bring together young people going through challenging circumstances

Cost

Looked After, Post-Looked After, Children in Need and children with a social worker (limited to 100 young people) are all able to access free provision in school, through an Essex Music Service tutor.

Young people accessing free school meals receive 66% off all provision.
