Provides confidential, independent, practical and emotional support to families in Essex with a child or young person with any Special Educational Need or Disability (SEND).
How it can help
Families InFocus offer a range of support, including:
- helping families to complete disability benefits applications
- advice on housing and social care issues
- supporting with SEND educational issues, including Education and health care (EHC) needs assessments and EHC plans
- help preparing for and attending tribunals
- a weekend activity club for SEND children, their families and siblings. It gives children a chance to let off steam, make friends, and learn new skills
- workshops, coffee mornings and drop in sessions
