A service which supports families facing challenges
How it can help
Family Solutions supports families who are facing a lot of challenges and have already tried other types of support. This might include children or families who:
- have a disability resulting in complex needs
- have challenging behaviour
- are struggling with family relationships
- are not in education or work long-term
Family Solutions provide families with a Family Worker to talk to, meaning they only have to tell someone about their situation once.
Family Workers help families to find the support they need. They can:
- unpick complex problems
- work with everyone in the family to work towards individual and shared goals
- signpost to other services
Age
Family Solutions work with the whole family, but this must include a child aged 0 to 18.

Telephone the Children and Young People’s Service, press option 1 and ask for the Children's Line. Alternatively, complete the Request for Support form on the website.
