How it can help
Glenwood School works with children and young people who have severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. This includes learners with autism and those with complex physical and sensory impairments.
Glenwood School provides support from a variety of professionals and therapists including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Music Therapists, Physiotherapists and specialist teachers who support young people with visual, hearing or multi-sensory impairments.
Glenwood School is a day school for most pupils. Glenwood School has some residential places at The Glen for older pupils to develop their independence.

3 to 19
Eligibility
To apply to a special school, a pupil must have:
- an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
- complex, high needs that cannot be met in a mainstream setting.
How to access
Pupils are placed at Glenwood School by the Local Authority through the EHCP process.
For a child to be admitted, the school must be named, by their home local authority, in the child’s Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
