Independence Project

A daycare and opportunities provider for young adults with additional needs, who are also a children's Short Breaks provider.

How it can help

For young adults with additional needs, the Independence Project offer:

  • day opportunities
  • indoor activities
  • supported holidays

They also run Independence Clubs where members can access weekly evening social clubs, weekend activities and more.

The Independence Project is also part of the Short Break provider SEND Sensation. They run:

  • after school and school holiday clubs at Columbus School for ages 8 to 18
  • SEND dance sessions for ages 6 to 12 and 13 to 18
  • weekend activity days for ages 8 to 14

Eligibility

Young people (19-25) must have a personal budget.
