How it can help
Lexden Springs School works with children and young people who have complex learning difficulties (profound and multiple learning difficulties and severe learning difficulties) and those with autism.
Lexden Springs have a dedicated sensory occupational therapist, speech and language therapist and school nurse on site. They also work closely with dieticians, physiotherapists and other outside agencies to provide holistic care.
Lexden Springs is a day school for most pupils. There are 30 places at the Lexden Springs Residential School. These are exclusively for Lexden Springs pupils. The Residential is an extension of the pupil's school day and is open term time only from Monday to Friday (not open at weekends or during the school holidays). Pupils do not sleep consecutive nights; they may only be offered one or two nights a week and it is reviewed weekly.
