How it can help
Market Field School works with children and young people with moderate (MLD) or complex learning difficulties. Many pupils have additional needs such as communication, interaction, social, emotional and mental health needs.
Market Field is a Total Communication School. There is a team of speech and language therapists who support children's communication needs throughout the school day.
Mental health and wellbeing therapy, interventions and advice underpins the curriculum at Market Field and bespoke interventions are offered to meet the needs of pupils.
Market Field is a day school and college. It does not have residential facilities

Eligibility
To apply to a special school, a pupil must have:
- an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
- complex, high needs that cannot be met in a mainstream setting.
How to access
Pupils are placed at Market Field School by the Local Authority through the EHCP process.
For a child to be admitted, the school must be named, by their home local authority, in the child’s Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
