A specialist nursing service providing support to those with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder) and their families
How it can help
The ADHD nurse service works in partnership with a range of other professionals to achieve the right outcomes for the children, young people and families who require this service.
The ADHD nurse:
- supports the assessment process for ADHD
- provides an ADHD parenting programme
- provides training to schools to help support children with ADHD in school
- signposts families, children and schools to local support services
Age
5 years and 6 months to 18
Eligibility
Children and young people undergoing an assessment for ADHD or diagnosed with ADHD in the care of the Child Development Centre.
