NHS - Children’s Continence Service - West Essex

A service that supports children and young people with bowel and bladder difficulties.

How it can help

The service can help with:

  • failed toileting (after six months of trying)
  • day time wetting
  • night time wetting,
  • soiling/overflow
  • constipation issues.

The service also supports children who require continence products because continence may not be possible due to medical issues.

Age

4 to 18

Eligibility

Children and young people who are registered with a West Essex GP.

How to access

Speak to your GP, child's health visitor or school nurse for a referral.
