The Children's Feeding and Dietetic Service offers a high quality, coordinated service to support children and their families.
Their multidisciplinary team consists of:
- Paediatric Dietitians
- Dysphagia Specialist Speech and Language Therapists
- Children’s Occupational Therapist
- Specialist Children’s Nurse
- Experienced Team Assistants
- Team Administrators
They work throughout Southwest Essex and Thurrock to meet the needs of children and their families, using a variety of different methods depending on the child's need, including:
- support from their virtual information resources hub
- online clinics
- face to face appointments in schools
- clinics and at home
This may include single professional or multidisciplinary assessment, diagnosis, support and management.

0 to 16 (or up to 19 with an EHCP)
Eligibility
Children and young people with feeding difficulties and special dietary needs and are registered with a GP in Basildon, Brentwood or Thurrock

Self-referral or referral from a healthcare professional such as GP
