NHS - Children's Speech and Language Therapy - West Essex

Provides speech and language therapy to children and young people who are experiencing difficulties with speech, language and communication (talking and understanding) and with feeding and swallowing.

How it can help

The Children's Speech and Language Therapy service provides diagnosis and help by training and supporting parents, carers, teachers and health professionals.

They work together with parents, carers and the team around the child, seeing children in a variety of community settings, for example in their family hubs, clinics, pre-school and schools, or at home for some children with additional needs.

Their work includes training and supporting parents, teachers and health professionals to meet each child’s communication or feeding and swallowing needs within their everyday life.

They also run a preschool drop in telephone service on a Tuesday.
