A charity providing support and training to families who have a child or young person with SEND.
How it can help
SEND the Right Message Charity (STRM) aim to help families navigate their child's SEND journey. They provide information, practical help and emotional support. STRM also promote parental self-resilience and learning.
STRM offers parents and carers:
- an online parent support forum
- online resources, such as guides, information and template letters
- online and in person parent carer support sessions
- a newsletter
- community events, specialist talks and training
- assistance to complete child disability benefit forms with their Disability Benefit Appointments
- financial support, including foodbank referrals, household support fund and financial crisis support
They run a monthly programme which includes:
- a guest talk SEND support session
- a topic talk SEND support session
- a relaxed coffee morning
- a cost of living crisis support session
- an online SEND support session
STRM also offer children's activities, including:

0 to 25 with SEND.
Eligibility
Families living in Southend, Castle Point and Rochford districts who have a child with SEND. No diagnosis required.
