How it can help
Southview School works exclusively with children and young people with physical and neurological impairments.
Pupils have access to on-site occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy and music therapy.
Southview School is staffed by a highly skilled team of teachers, support staff and therapists who work holistically to provide a high-quality learning experience for pupils. Staff are trained and experienced in using a wide variety of equipment and technologies to support pupils and keep them safe.
Southview is a day school but will have residential facilities, for students at Southview School, from 2024.

3 to 19
Eligibility
To apply to a special school, a pupil must have:
- an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
- complex, high needs that cannot be met in a mainstream setting.
How to access
Pupils are placed at Southview School by the Local Authority through the EHCP process.
For a child to be admitted, the school must be named, by their home local authority, in the child’s Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
