A local community network of trained volunteers who can help families with young children through their challenging times

How it can help

Home-Start aims to give children the best possible start in life by supporting parents and caregivers to:

  • feel less isolated
  • build their confidence in themselves and their parents
  • find ways to manage challenges they face
     

They build trusting, helpful relationships with families and deliver a range of flexible support to meet their individual needs, including:

  • volunteer led home visiting
  • family groups
  • wellbeing services
  • school readiness
  • behaviour support programme

Age

0 to 10, parents and carers

Eligibility

You must have at least one child pre-birth up to child's 6th birthday and live in the supported areas (see their website for details)
