A service supporting those experiencing child to parent abuse.
How it can help
PEGS is an online support service with no restriction on area. They help parents, carers, and guardians dealing with Child to Parent Abuse (CPA), even if the child is an adult. They don’t work directly with the child showing these behaviors but have partners who do.
PEGS aims to reduce the impact of CPA on families and society. Their main goals are:
- supporting parents: services are free for any parental figure, no matter the child’s age
- training professionals: they train police, social workers, charities, and other frontline services
- influencing policy: helps organizations develop and improve CPA policies
- raising awareness: use media, events and speeches to spread the word about CPA
They offer a range of services, including:
- virtual drop-in sessions
- one to one consultation
- support programmes
- advocacy
